So PVC pipe and I really get along. I haven’t mentioned it before but I’m a borderline addict to the stuff. I’ve got a whole list of one-day-soon projects to do with the stuff. This summer I discovered how easy it was to make a pocket chart stand and it snowballed from there.
I’ve got the larger pocket chart.
and I made a simple little sensory box for my kiddo’s.
Then I had an idea a couple of weeks ago when I was rearranging some things in my classroom and I kept looking at the drip pan stuck in a corner that I hadn’t done anything with. I bought it a while ago, took it to school then discovered it was way too flimsy and too loud to just lean against the wall and my district isn’t to keen on drilling into the walls, so it got stuck away until I could figure out what to do with it. Well take one Saturday afternoon, a couple of trips to Lowes and some intense math debates with my dad and you have my new magnet activity center. I’m pretty smitten with it! It’s very sturdy, makes very little noise, is double sided and best of all (in my opinion) has enough storage in the middle for any magnet materials I have or will ever make.
|I talked to a teacher in the hallway for a second on the first day I had this in my room and when I came inside this is what they were doing:)|
